Big 2 Year Old

Our baby girl just turned 2! Hard to believe, and yet she fits in so well with the older kids! Madeline is an amazing helper and such a cheerful, happy girl. She's better than anyone at making us laugh and knows just the right things to say at the right time. Her one-liners have brought on some memorable laughing fits. She loves to clean up things around the house and wash her hands after doing anything - see last picture below after getting cake on her hands. Ultrasound day

Hooray! We were secretly hoping to even out the numbers with another boy and now it's safe to say it. We brought Brendan to the ultrasound and he was just ecstatic when the technician showed us the "boy part". She printed a special picture of the baby for him to keep and he carried in around in his pocket all day, affectionately referring to his "bro" and the battle scenarios they'll enact together.

Weekend with Dad

Last weekend I flew solo to New Hampshire to visit family while Michael stayed with the kids. He did so well! He took the kids all over the place, including the Science Museum. When I returned, the house was almost spotless, the kids were bathed, and so happy. They sure love their dad! Here are some pics from the museum outing:
